Employee Spotlight: Anthony “Tony” Dao

Tony Dao has been with Victory Living programs for a year and is a member of the Community Inclusion/Adult Day Training (ADT) Program team. While his daily responsibilities vary depending on the day’s activities, his passion stems from his appreciation for the clients Victory Living Programs serves.

Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Tony moved to Coconut Creek with his family when he was 7. Now 20, Tony is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Broward College, which fits well with his position at Victory Living. Tony’s main responsibilities center around teaching the Community Inclusion/ADT Program computer class and instructing clients how to use the computer. In addition, Tony also helps lead clients through several other program activities including volunteer and art projects.

“When I was in high school, Bobbi asked me to volunteer for Victory Living Programs, so I had the pleasure of knowing the majority of the clients before I started working here,” Tony says. “The clients we serve are really unique. Each and every one has their own personality and it’s exciting to work with each one of them.”

When Tony is not working or studying, he enjoys working on cars and playing video games, and a couple of months ago he even built a gaming computer.

“Working at Victory Living Programs has been a rewarding experience,” Tony says. “It provides me with an inside look into what individuals with disabilities can do and what they deal with on a daily basis.”

We’re happy to have you with us, Tony!
