Steven has been involved with Victory Living Programs since 2012. An active participant in the ADT/Community Inclusion Program, Steven is incredibly dedicated to volunteering and making a positive difference in his community. Currently, through the program, he volunteers at Margate Elementary School, with “In Jacob’s Shoes”, and twice a month he also helps to set up the food pantry at Cokesbury Methodist Church.

In addition to his volunteer efforts, he is a member of VLP’s Special Olympics bocce team and is also working on improving his computer skills. “Steven is just the happiest person,” said Robyn Ames, ADT/Community Inclusion Program Supervisor. “He loves to dance, is always willing to lend a helping hand and his peers love him because he is very caring.” Steven is also a member of VLP’s Special Olympics bowling team.

When Steven is not volunteering, playing sports or improving his skills with the ADT/Community Inclusion Program, he enjoys spending time with his family. “Before joining Victory Living, Steven used to stay at home all the time,” said Steven Toloza, Steven’s father. “Now he gets mad if we keep him at home. Everyone at Victory Living loves Steven, and he looks forward to volunteering and communicating with everyone. The staff at VLP enjoy what they’re doing and take time to learn little quirks that the participants might have. I don’t know what we would do if Steven wasn’t at Victory Living.”
